Frequently Asked Questons
To earn a high income right out of law school you will probably have to work at a large law firm. Large law firm's typically hire from the top rated and highly respected law schools. Some large law firm's will not even look at your resume unless you graduate from a top 15 law school or are in the top 10-15% of your class. However, you should also look at the average salary for law school graduates to determine if the graduates of the law school earn a salary with what you expect to make after law school. Although, the average salary will not depict what you are able to make. Often it is not where you graduate from, but what you accomplish by your own hard work that truly dictates your earning potential. There are plenty of graduates from much lesser known law schools that make a lot of money, but they work hard although often it may take them longer to earn a large salary compared to graduates of better known schools.
